Also includes manuscript copies of John Butler's letter to the gentlemen settlers below the mouth of the Scioto (1773 June 10), Captain Bullitt's speech to the chiefs of the Shaw[nee]Nation (Chilicothe, 1773 June 9), and the answer of Chief Cornstalk the next morning.
